Advanced Materials & Manufacturing (AM2) Laboratory

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Facility and Equipment

FDM Printing

Our lab utilizes a CREALITY K1C printer to create small to medium size parts using ABS and PLA. Features an accuracy of 0.1 mm and can support alternative filaments such as PETG and TPU.

Centrifugal Mixer

For quick mixtures of large samples, we have a single sample THINKY ARE-10 mixer for dispersing fluid mixtures that uses an analog counterweight to balance itself.

Spray Dryer

We also have a LABSPRAY spray dryer to separate dissolved solid samples from liquid solvents.

Metrohm Analyzer

This Metrohm analyzer has multiple channels that work as bipotentiostats, galvanostats, and impedance analyzers.

VPP Printing

For more accurate and intricate designs, we have an ELGOO Saturn 4 Ultra VPP (Vat Photo-polymerization) printer that cures photo-reactive resin using UV light. Works for high-definition, small to medium size prints.

Temperature Control Centrifuge

We offer an Eppendorf 5810R centrifuge capable of spinning up to 6 samples simultaneously for temperatures ranging from -9 to 40 degrees Celsius for long periods of time and at high speeds.

Freeze Dryer

We also have a FreeZone freeze dryer for drying samples at low temperatures with vacuum capabilities.

Electrochemical Workstation

We have a CH Instruments CHI660D electrochemical workstation for general electrochemical experiments.

KUKA Robotic Arm

A large robotic arm, available for prospective research project use!

Incubation Shaker

We have a slow speed shaker for mixing liquid solutions that is equipped with temperature control.

Vacuum Oven

Our lab features a large vacuum oven capable holding pressures at -760 mmHg at temperatures up to 480 Fahrenheit.
