Dr. Jenny Qiu is an associate professor at the J. Mike Walker ’66 Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. She has been teaching courses about materials & manufacturing at the College Station campus since 2023 and previously taught various statics & mechanics, biomaterials, elasticity, graphics, and experimentation & analysis courses at Texas Tech University from 2016 to 2022. She has been researching materials for over two decades, with a keen interest in nanomaterials, carbon and graphene, and hydrogels. Dr. Qiu has over 100 publications in the form of journal publications, conference papers, and book chapters. Dr. Qiu originally received her B.S. and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Beihang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and earned her Ph.D. in Industrial Manufacturing and Engineering from Florida State University.
